I love Bristol, looking forward to a good race today. Really hope the tires don't become a problem.
See alot out there to my liking, need a good day after last week in at Atlanta.
Match-Ups
2.00 units Matt Kenseth (+110) over Jimmie Johnson (@thegreek)
Practice results not very good for either one of these teams Saturday but have no doubt they will be dialed in by Sunday.Kenseth has had some tough luck to start this season, was taken out by Gordon two weeks ago while running second and last week had to change transmission before the race putting him behind the 8-ball. It has to turn somewhere, why not here where he has two wins in the last five starts.
Really don't know what is going on with the 48 right now, struggled bad two weeks in a row.
2.00 units Dale Earnhardt Jr. (-105) over Jeff Gordon (@sportsbook)
Everyone knows how good Jr. is on superspeedways but I think his real forte is on short tracks. Watched him cut his teeth on the tracks here in South Carolina (@Florence and Myrtle Beach).
This team has been the best Hendrick team so far this year and I think he is the man to beat today.
2.00 units Jeff Burton (-135) over Martin Truex Jr. (@bodog)
Another guy who is real good at Bristol. Like his patience at a place like this. Has been very consistenet to start the year(13th, 12th, 10th and 5th). Truex is yet to score a Top 10 at Bristol while Burton has three Top 5's in six races.
1.00 unit Denny Hamlin (-115) over Clint Bowyer (@bodog)
Bowyer has been good at Bristol lately but with a few breaks I think Hamlin is a contender today. Last August I watched Hamlin start dead last then move up into the Top 5 in 120 caution-free laps but unfortunately he was the first caution as he blew up. He was contending for the win last year in the spring race until a pit road mishap late put him back at 14th.
Hope the luck is good today and brings home a good finish will probably need it against Bowyer.
1.00 unit Elliott Sadler (+130) over Reed Sorenson (@5dimes)
Not really comfortable with Sadler but this use to be his best track, has not done well the last three times out. Sorenson hasn't exactly been great here either. Think its a worthy play.
1.00 unit David Ragan (-130) over Robby Gordon (@5dimes)
this play is a combination of Ragan's improvement and Gordon's problems in the past at Bristol (since 2005 his best finish has been 26th).
